Situated in the lush, indigenous surroundings of the breathtaking Wild Coast in the Eastern Cape, there is no doubt that the Momentum Pondo Pedal Family Adventure is a treat for senses!
A fairly new event, this is the race described as the Pondo Pedal’s more ‘chilled’ cousin in our little family of mountain biking event. The Momentum Umngazi Pondo Pedal Adventure aims to provide riders and their families with an exclusive and upmarket MTB event while taking a break from city life. The routes are generally challenging, but will give each rider a great sense of accomplishment and promises to be an experience never to be forgotten.
Each day’s ride starts and finishes at Umngazi River Bungalows, allowing husbands and / or wives to either ride or relax while the kids get involved in the many enjoyable activities at our resort. Each MTB route ranges between 30km and 35km consisting of varied terrain, from single and cattle track to district roads and mangrove trails, and thus provides an incredible experience for both newcomers and those who just can’t get enough of the beauty.
One of the wildest events to do along one of Africa’s most beautiful coastlines, the adventure caters for weekend warriors to pro athletes and everything in between, including their loved ones!
