Umngazi River Bungalows & Spa won the Global Luxury Family All-Inclusive Hotel Award at the eighth annual World Luxury Hotel Awards celebrated at The Bay in Cape Town last night. “This award recognizes the efforts of the resorts owners, management and the entire team in providing a luxurious experience and an exceptional level of service to discerning guests,” responds Graham and Michele Walker, Umngazi River Bungalow & Spa’s General Management Couple. “More than 1,000 hotels from 145 countries were nominated to participate in the 2014 World Luxury Hotel Awards and it is such an honour to receive this recognition. We certainly felt humbled by the incredible international hotels we were surrounded by last night – with the Atlantis, The Palm Dubai winning the Global Family Category – part of the Kerzner group so we really were up against serious competitors!!”
