Umngazi River Bungalows and Spa – re-opening after 5 weeks of refurbishments

The award-winner Umngazi River Bungalows and Spa, located on the breath-taking, secluded Wild Coast re-opened its doors on 23 June after being closed for the past five weeks for refurbishments.  This is the first time this family-orientated resort has closed its doors to carry out such extensive restorations.
The main upgrade has been the kitchen, which has been totally gutted and is now brand new and includes the addition of a top-class refrigeration unit.
Returning guests will notice the stylish face-lift in the dining-room with its new screeded floors, new buffet station and new glass-paned doors.  The kiddies diningroom was also refurbished.  The bar is proudly sporting a new counter and the lounge floor has been redone.
The tennis court and swimming pool have both been freshly refurbished and there has been an enormous thatching programme on all the buildings.  Of the 69 bungalows, 25 of them have had their bathrooms upgraded and enjoyed a fresh coat of paint.  The double-storey honeymoon suite has been marvellously upgraded and now includes a more spacious bathroom area.  The Emloyeni rooms and the three honeymoon suites have also revelled in the revamp, with the addition of wider decks allowing guests to soak up extra sunshine.
