Happy 2021 to you all from the Umngazi family

Let us hope that this year is going to be calmer and kinder to us all and that after the craziness of last year we have all emerged stronger, more resourceful, more appreciative of the simpler and smaller things that life has to offer us.

Umngazi has had a wonderful festive season and despite the restrictions and protcols we so appreciated and enjoyed welcoming back familiar faces and introducing new and wonderful guests to the Umngazi family. The extra ordinary times that we all found ourselves in will always be a beautiful and special memory for us. It was heartwarming to watch families spend precious time together and to enjoy everything that Umngazi has to offer, to discover those simple pleasures again. We reveled in the gentle buzz of the hotel, watching people reunite, laugh and share the year’s challenges, seeing people’s faces relax and get that sun-kissed look again as the Umngazi bubble engulfed everyone and recharged them for yet another year. Restrictions did not damper spirits and our New Year was beyond incredible. We counted it in at 9pm with huge gusto, singing at the top of our voices, Auld Lang Syne…a memory that will always be with us as one of those remarkable moments.

Thank you to everyone for visiting us and to those who we will be meeting up with again during the year, thank you for helping us to keep Umngazi the special and remarkable place that you have all come to love.

Till then keep safe and be kind to each other, sending so much Umngazi love from all of us to all of you.
