The Umngazi Spa offers a full range of treatments and therapies including face and body therapy, pre- and post-natal care, bathing and water rituals, grooming treatments, spa packages, and full day spa journeys.
Whether you choose a quick 30-minute back massage or opt for a holistic spa journey, your treatment will be performed by one of our professional therapists using only the best South African products. Nestled between indigenous bush, atop the Umngazi hillside, and overlooking the Wild Coast’s untouched ocean, our spa is a spectacular retreat in the heart of nature. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear the waves crashing, and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch the call of the Fish Eagle.
The spa rests on the hillside, just a short walk away from the hotel, providing a convenient escape from the abundance of activities. If you require any help reaching the spa, please feel free to approach the reception desk, and they will be more than happy to assist you.
Our spa has 4 private treatment rooms (each with a beautiful view). There’s a spa bath, and a natural outdoor shower. Guests are welcome to order drinks prior to their visit should they be using the relaxation deck or enjoying time in the spa bath.
Because the spa is small, we recommend booking your treatments upon arrival or prior to your stay to avoid disappointment.
To ensure you get to fully enjoy your spa experience, we ask you to please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled booking time.
Cancelling or rescheduling is acceptable 12 hours prior to your booked appointment.

Dermalogica, Lilian Terry International, Africology, Morgan Taylor are the products we use in our spa.
We’re excited to announce the addition of Environ to our product range. Now you can enjoy a variety of Environ Electro-sonic and Cool Peel facial treatments.

There is nothing quite like our spa. Set completely in nature, with uninterrupted views over the Wild Coast, it is a real retreat. We don’t play any music in the treatment rooms – guests can enjoy the birdlife, the sea, and the breeze blowing through the tropical trees.
Our Face Therapy menu offers Africology treatments dedicated to firming, repairing, refining, or rejuvenating. Natural ingredients like Aloe Ferox, Padanami extract, and vitamins C and B are used for the best results. Our Dermalogica facials target specific problem areas with clinically formulated products designed for your skin type.
Our Body Therapy menu offers 30, 60, 90 and 120 minute massages ranging from the classic full body massage to the traditional African Intonga Amasatchi Stick Massage, and much more. Boost your experience with a rejuvenating body wrap, a shower, or one of our foot therapies.
For the moms-to-be, there is an entire Pre & Post Natal Care menu available at Umngazi Spa. Enjoy a pregnancy massage or opt for a pampering package.

The Grooming Treatment Menu offers services like manis, pedis and hair removal.
