It brings great pleasure to be able to say that at Umngazi, we pride ourselves on ensuring all expectations and needs are met, including those of every member of our Umngazi family, but to receive such accolade from ‘the travelling snob’ himself, is simply invigorating!

“… from the moment you get there, you feel like you’ve “arrived”.  The staff greet you like you’ve never left. Right from the porter to the front of office staff, there is a great feeling of warmth. Everything around is clean and there is a hustle and bustle of activity as the kids are being entertained, but what is very noticeable, is that everyone is relaxed and clearly on holiday.”
“Umngazi has realised that to be successful the staff that man the hotel need to be looked after, they have embraced this and are a model to any other community based hotel. Some of the projects include electrification and education for the young kids (http://goo.gl/HP2bl ). Umngazi give guests the opportunity to support this education process by donating money for stationery packs for the youngsters, this has ensured a staff base, some who have been there for over 20 years.”
“…I love Umngazi River Bungalows and found our time there to be thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable and way too short, I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from it all.”
