GAZEBO WEDDING CEREMONY
Should you be dreaming of the ultimate outdoor wedding ceremony your choices vary from the Beautiful beach directly opposite the hotel, the magnificent river mouth or the lawn - while your guests sit on the beach and share in your special moment. This wedding gazebo will be especially constructed for you and draped in white muslin. Should you select the option we will be on hand to do snacks and bubbly service after your ceremony! R2'500 will include the gazebo, set up and service.
Should you wish to choose for your guests to be seated on wooden chairs this may be included at the cost of R3'500 for the hiring and set up.
Our beautiful Slipway venue is situated on the river front with a deck overlooking the mountains, pondo huts and magnificent sunsets! This venue can comfortably seat 20 - 50 guests maximum. The venue is available for beautiful wedding lunches or dinners and the deck is the perfect place to dance the night away. At the cost of R9000 (until midnight) which includes all wedding co-ordination costs, venue hire, bar and food service staff, basic set-up and basic decor of round 8 seater tables, wooden chairs, white table clothes, white fabric napkins, wine and champagne glasses, crockery, cutlery, gift and cake table. Should your wedding be an even more "exclusive affair" please give us a ring to discuss numbers and we will requote for guest numbers below 20.
additional items for hire
At an additional cost we have the following available -
Fairy lighting R1000; white chair covers R8 each, vases (costing depends on size), seating plan stands R200, podium for speeches R200. Any additional speciality items may be hired from East London - we are happy to supply you with the relevant contact details.
We are happy to quote for "basic flower arrangements" and decor - please give us an idea of what it is you are looking for and we will let you know if it is possible. Please bear in mind that we only have indigenous plants to work with when they are in season. Anything else would need to be sourced from elsewhere.
music and photographer
We do not have a sound system available in the venue - you are welcome to arrange your own DJ but please note that his accommodation will be for your cost. The same accommodation arrangement must be made for your photographer.
We are able to assist with basic wedding cakes and cupcake towers - please let us know what you are envisaging. Should it not be possible for us to assist in making the cake we will give you the contact details of a Wedding cake supplier in East London.
post ceremony bubbly and snacks
We offer a snacks and bubbly after the ceremony, giving your guests time to enjoy the beach, toast with a glass of bubbly and chat while you take some photos. R60 a head includes snacks and a glass of local sparkling wine.
We have numerous menu options offering a variety of dish, service styles, budget and dietary requirements. We are happy to forward you the menu options available and assure you that we will cater for all your needs in our typical Umngazi food style!
The service of drinks is included in the initial fee. We are able to facilitate any type of bar tab you would like us to i.e. cash bar or a bar tab (with or without a limit) this will be confirmed with you by the co-ordinator on booking. We are also happy to email you a copy of our award winning wine list for you to pre-book your order before the wedding.
wedding accommodation packages
A two night wedding package is available for your guests. Accommodation daily rates vary from R765.00 - R1460.00 per person and are valid out of season from 20 May - 30 November 2013. Kindly note that rates below are based on per person for a 2 night stay includes accommodation, 3 meals per day for day one and 2 meals per day for day two.
CHILDREN AT UMNGAZI
Umngazi has a fantastic children's programme which runs every day between 09h00 and 20h00. We are happy to forward you details of menu options for your "younger wedding guests". Babysitters are also available to allow the "younger - hearted wedding guests" to party the night away!

To secure your wedding booking a 60% deposit is required 4 months prior to you wedding date.
